Archaeology
The bulk of the archaeological collections are from the Roman city of Verulamium and the medieval town of St Albans. The collections from Verulamium are of national and international significance.
They cover both the everyday and the exotic, including important mosaics, wallplasters, and building materials, pottery, metalwork, glassware and bone.
